Constructed longer than standard-pattern wrenches, our wrenches give you more leverage and access to hard to reach areas. The 12-point box end has our WaveDrive design that transfers torque uniformly and prevents damaging and rounding of the bolt. 15-degree angle offset give you knuckle clearance and also helps you navigate in tight spots.
For example, suppose the final torque on a bolt is 40 foot-lbs. The manufacturer may state to bring all the bolts to 10 foot-lbs. first, following the torque sequence. In the second step, bring the torque to 20 foot-lbs. In the third step, bring it up to 40 foot-lbs. Bringing the torque up in incremental steps prevents head warping as well.

The torque spec for my Tacoma says that cylinder head bolts should be torqued (in a specific sequence) to 27 ft/lbs initially and then again each should be turned I know how to use a torque wrench to set torque to a specific ft/lbs but I don't know how to measure the angle turned by ratcheting.

Jan 27, 2009 · The torque is 185 in pounds. Starting from the corner bolt at the exhaust is 1 then clock wise from there 7, 5, 3, 2, 8, 6, 4, 9. The three long bolts are 1, 7, 9.
I'm looking for the correct torque specifications for the heads on the aluminum block L33. All I can find are generic specs for the 5.3, which are 22 ft-lbs initial pass, then 90 degrees on the second pass, then another 70 degrees on the third pass. This seems like WAY too much torque for an aluminum block.
